Mr. Vincent Chase, Director of Marketing
Sony Music Entertainment
1010 York Road Towson, MD 21286

Dear Vincent,

I enjoyed talking to you yesterday at the New Markets/New Media conference regarding Sony and its need to strategically promote to Gen Y consumers. Enclosed you will find a prospectus for the report I mentioned describing profit outlets and targeting Gen Y through vinyl album production.

As I mentioned yesterday, Sony feels it must establish a good repot and brand identity with Gen Y now in order to ease the transition from CD’s to vinyl albums. I believe Proximity, based on our strengths in understanding trends in media with Gen Y, would be an enormous asset to you while planning your campaign.

Being that Proximity is associated with Towson University, it has immediate access to the entire student population and trained faculty experts in marketing and media research. We can provide you with focus group reports and customized surveys to help mold Sony’s image into an innovative and progressive media enterprise. Proximity’s consultants can advise your sales team on where to place advertisements that will target the largest segments of the Gen Y population. Using student representatives will allow you to reach even more Gen Y consumers through social networks, making promotion much more easier and effective.

I invite you and your staff to join us at Proximity’s Towson office for a special focus group session on vinyl albums and how they can combat illegal downloading sites. Our staff is extremely excited and dedicated to your developments. After that session, you can meet with members of our group to discuss how Proximity can help you meet your promoting and marketing goals.
